1. Who we are

AppTracker is an App Store Optimization (ASO) tool that helps you track keyword rankings for iOS and Android apps. The service is operated by Bitlink GmbH.

2. What data we collect

  • Account data: your name, email address, and profile picture, obtained when you sign in via Google, Apple, or email/password.
  • Usage data: the keywords and apps you choose to track, and their historical ranking data.
  • Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser user-agent, timestamps) for security and debugging.

We do not collect payment information. We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide the service: authenticate you, store your keywords, display ranking history.
  • To send product updates and tips, if you opted in.
  • To monitor and improve reliability and performance.

4. Third-party services

  • Firebase (Google): used for authentication only. We receive a verified identity token and do not store Firebase session data ourselves.
  • OpenAI: we send app descriptions to OpenAI's API to extract relevant ASO keywords. No personal data is included in these requests.

5. Public comparison snapshots

When you run a head-to-head comparison on AppTracker, we capture a "snapshot" of that comparison. By default, every snapshot is public — accessible at a canonical URL on our domain (e.g. /vs?left=…&right=…) and listed in our sitemap so search engines can index it.

Public snapshots contain:

  • Public data already published by the app developers on the App Store and Google Play (title, subtitle, description, screenshots, ratings, install counts);
  • Recurring themes from publicly posted user reviews;
  • AI-generated analysis derived from the above.

Public snapshots do not contain your name, email address, organization, or any other personal information that identifies you as the user who triggered the comparison.

You can make any of your snapshots private at any time from the /snapshots page in your account; the canonical URL will return 404 immediately after.

6. App-developer takedown

If you are the developer of an app that appears in a public comparison and you want it removed, use the Report comparison button at the bottom of the public page, or email us at info@bitlink.gmbh. We review every report and act on it manually — typically within a few business days. Once removed, the app is added to a blacklist so future comparisons involving it stay private.

7. Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from your Profile page. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. Public comparison snapshots survive account deletion as anonymous records — the public payload contains no PII — but you can unpublish any snapshot before deleting your account if you want it removed from the public catalog.

8. Cookies

We use a single authentication cookie (jwt_token) to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email us or use the account deletion feature in your profile. We will respond within 30 days.
